Take a gifted West African teenager, hit him with some George Benson, move him to the U.S., and soon you have rising jazz guitarist Lionel Loueke. Karibu is a jamboree of sprung rhythms, splashed with African and Brazilian flavors, in which Loueke, 34, scat-sings, drums on his guitar, mouth-clicks and oh, yes plays some wicked jazz.
